LOCAL BUSINESSES WE PARTNER WITH.
It takes a village to make a pizza.
From the flour to the toppings to the packaging, we carefully choose our suppliers.
We see them as collaborators. And a business will only make the cut if they share our unwavering passion for awesome produce.
Oh, and they must focus on sustainability and localism. Because there is no planet B.
That’s why the following businesses are Earth & Soul collaborators.
FORGE CREEK FREE RANGE
Forge Creek Free Range is a multi award-winning small, family run farm based in East Gippsland. Founded by Peter and Deb Hahnemann, they produce eggs from pasture fed, free range chickens. The hens are free to fossick and roam happily during the day under the beautiful big old Red Gums on their idyllic property.
DAVID LUCKES FRESH FOOD MARKET
A local institution in the Gippsland area, David Luckes Fresh Food Market supply our business with quality local produce.
LITTLE RED BUCKET DELICACIES
Using a secret recipe passed down through the generations, David and Denice of Little Red Bucket Delicacies handcraft tender pillows of gnocchi in Metung. You can find their pestos, marinated sun-dried tomatoes and olives at a nearby East Gippsland market.
BLACK RAINBOW PRINTING
Established in 1987 by Charley Daniel, Black Rainbow Printing has the highest environmental standards available in the Australian print industry. We collaborate with Black Rainbow for their zero carbon manufacture, vegetable based inks and authentically green printing.
We love Biopak’s compostable packaging because it’s a better alternative to single-use plastic! We use their sugarcane takeaway containers, tree-free napkins, paper bags and bamboo cutlery.
WHO GIVES A CRAP
Who Gives a Crap make all of their products with environmentally friendly materials, and donate 50% of their profits to help build toilets for those in need. To date they’ve donated over $1.2 million dollars to charity. This is why we use their toilet paper, paper towel and tissues in-store.
TRACEY SOLOMAN, ARTIST
When you visit the store and lay eyes on the soulful mural on the brick wall, you are appreciating the work of artist Tracey Solomon. Tracey’s public art projects breathe new life into hidden pockets of Gippsland. Specialising in street art murals, she often works in collaboration with other artists in the hope to brighten your day. You can view her work around the laneways and public open spaces of Bairnsdale.
